Having been temporarily thwarted adapting my thesis for broader publication, due the the ongoing coronavirus emergency, I was both humbled and delighted to receive a very kind acknowledgement from Ian Mortimer in his wonderful book The Time Traveller’s Guide to Regency Britain

The Angel & The Cad  was published to critical acclaim on the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo

April 12th 2015

I presented my third paper at the Wellington Congress at the University of Southampton, which marked the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. This year my subject was the Wellesley-Pole sisters, known as the three graces, each of whom vied to be Wellington’s Favourite Niece

Geraldine Roberts signed a book deal with Macmillan for the publication of The Angel & the Cad which was based on our research of Wanstead House

Began my blog whilst recuperating from a minor operation, including this article I wrote as a guest on history site NumberOne London entitled The Birth of ‘Wellington’ 

October 2013 & June 2015

My Masters dissertation on William Wellesley-Pole was cited in Rory Muir’s seminal two volumes on the life of Arther Wellesley, Duke of Wellington entitled The Path to Victory, 1769-1814 (2013) & Waterloo and the Fortunes of Peace, 1814-1852 (2015)

March 2013

Presented a lecture marking the bicentenery of the closure of Wanstead Park 91813) before a large audience at Wanstead Library

November 2009

I was awarded an MA with Distinction from Queen Mary, University of London having been permitted to return to academia without previously having studied for a degree.

November 2008

Made a rather amatuerish debut at the Georgian Group symposium on Wanstead House, presenting a paper on William Long-Wellesley
